Day 1 Departure and Arrival (Brisbane to Hong Kong)

It’s day one and we could sleep in because it is a 1:00pm flight. The first thing we did was make sure that we had everything in our suitcases, it was then off to the airport. But before we could get to the airport we had to drop the car off in airport parking that holds your car for as long as you want and some people can wash your car if u want them to. Next we then caught a coach to the airport and there we checked in.

Then through security but there was a slight delay. The security guards thought that my Dad would do something. Then through immigration. After that we went to the food area and got something to eat and it was then time to board the plane. The flight goes for 8 hours and thank goodness they hand out kid packages like the ones below.

For lunch you have a choice of food like
Chicken chasseur with garlic mashed potato, green beans and carrots
Or
Stir-fried beef in oyster sauce (spicy) steamed rice, pak choy and carrots
Or
Penne pasta with roasted corn and zucchini sauce,
as well as a Boost chocolate, tea or coffee with sticky date pudding with vanilla as desert.

And as for refreshments you have seasonal fresh fruit,
Stir-fried egg noodle with chicken, black mushroom and choy sum served with chilli sauce
Or
Beef pie with mash potato and roasted vegetables
Tea or coffee
As well as Mango and vanilla ice cream sherbet bar.

On the plane there are movies (yes) like Hancock, Get smart, Speed Racer, The Forbidden Kingdom(the best movie), Ugly Betty, Scrubs (the best t.v show), The Simpson’s, Toy Story 2, CSI, Numbers, House and other shows.

The top photo is looking out my windows to the east. That's the full moon.

This one is looking west as the sun is setting.

At 7:58pm (Hong Kong) or 9:58pm (Australian) we went through customs (where you get your passport checked out) and there were some really nice mints at the customs desk. There was a tray for them and then at the bottom of it there was a place for the rubbish and I said that it looked like a smiley face, but after that we then went to meet the person who gets us to the hotels and places like that and guess what, we get to take a limousine (not really that’s just what they call a bus over here in Hong Kong).

In the bus they have leather chairs and they're on a diagonal lean so you could sleep in them and seriously I think u could live in one of these. When we were in the bus I looked out the window and saw a humongous rock climbing wall. And I sooooooo wanted to climb it all the way to the top and my Mum said maybe.

At our hotel it has a Pizza Hut downstairs and a beauty spa on the lowest level and the hotel looks like a shopping centre and has the best shopping centre around it like phone stalls and jewellery and toys and heaps of other things like that.

But you know it does feel like I’m at home apart from the icky smells, humid air and more Chinese people than I’m used to but other then that it’s great. And I hope that you're having a lot of fun with all of that exciting work about myths and legends (maybe it is, maybe it isn’t) and all that hard maths work (joking) and playing cricket must help you all a lot (not).

Bye Bye for now, Natty
